A man that user the 43things say,”When I was 13 I went to Japan and it was greatest time of my life.” I think Japan is most interesting spot for travel. Because Japanese culture for example Manga Anime Otaku and some people who wear the strange clothes is so exciting for Foreigners from Western countries.

    Hi Yuya,
    Nice blog!
I think Japan can be a nice place to visit, but I do not think that Japan is an easy place to live for people who are not Japanese.

    Hi Jamie.
    Yes, I think so too.
Japan is not easy to live not only foreigner but also Japanese.
    Jamie, where do you live?

I think many foreigners are interested in Japan because it is such a unique place. Also, Japanese pop culture happens to be very popular around the world, and is influencing the pop culture of other countries, like the USA.

However, some foriegn people have a difficult time living in Japan. They complain of the lack of space, the different food, and the language and cultural challenges they face everyday.

For me, I love living here and enjoy the culture and language very much.

I enjoyed reading your post about foreigners in Japan. You provided interesting details. The comments add to the conversation. I noted that you told what a man on 43 things said about Japan. Do you enjoy reading 43 things? What is the most interesting item you have read there?

I absolutely adore Japan and actually find similarities between myself and my Japanese acquaitances and friends (of course there are many, many differences also). My only problem with Japan is the reverence shown to (mainly white) foreigners- myself included. Not all westerners are great. Far fom it. The Japan of today acts like a magnet for idiotic gaijin whose main purpose for being there is to get drunk (often) and feel attractive by surrounding themselves with fawning but dim-witted girls (albeit sometimes very attractive) who believe that this ‘handsome’ (yeah, right) creature is the best thing since sliced pan. Come on Japan, wake up and get in the real world. Start treating yourself with the respect you deserve and stop making deities out of anyone white.

You would be hard put to find a country that offers a warmer welcome than Japan. Assuming you can get into character as an English gentleman. I think us white foreigners get away with “murder”. Authority would come down like a ton of bricks on any Japanese that tried the same antics. Or as it was put to me, “I’d never live here if I were Japanese.” Seriously, this place can be paradise without going through the distasteful process of dying. ‘Course it helps to be stinking rich.
